Facebook lets Android users upload high-resolution photographs finally

Your Facebook photographs are going to look a lot crisper. Facebook is rolling out an update that finally lets Android users upload high-resolution photographs to Facebook.

The consequences of compression aren't really noticable in the Newsfeed area where images are small, but once a image is widened, the low-quality compression becomes evident.

With a recently available server-side move, Facebook has added a choice for uploading photographs in HD from Android os, which suits their efforts on the net and iOS. No iphone app update must find the new option, but you will need to hold back until Facebook helps it be on your account.

How to permit HD photography uploads
To check when you can upload photographs in HD, check out the Facebook iphone app menu (three lines) > App Options. You will see a fresh toggle entitled "Upload HD images."

For Facebook, uploading in HD still doesn't suggest original quality, but it can allow images to be always a maximum of 2048 pixels large. If you are not linked to Wireless when uploading, it is also worth noting that you will use more data to publish these larger photographs to Facebook.
